Traditional
These are typical couple and family-oriented group shots including major key moments. Traditional wedding photography usually requires careful composition and possibly even some posing and can take a definite time to arrange. These photographs are important and are usually prescribed by the couple in a “must have” list.
Reportage/ Photojournalistic
This style of photography used not to be available when photographers used film. In today’s digital society the photographer has the freedom to take shots of the emotional aspects of the event not just who was there and what they were wearing. Reportage is all about creating images that enable you to re-live the special moments that would otherwise fade with time. This style is spontaneous and captures the spirit of your wedding day. Mostly informal, reportage photographs are probably the most "honest" representation of your wedding day.
Contemporary
Contemporary photography is not really a “style” and is akin to the way fashion changes from year to year. Contemporary photographs have a distinct, recognisable design element. But please bear in mind that in two years time so-called “contemporary images” now might look outdated. Different aspects of the image capturing process might include the use of photographic or digital filters, compositional variations such as tilting the camera etc. As with all photography it is very much a personal taste.
